Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM gilt für dreipolige Wechselstromschaltgeräte für öffentliche und industrielle Verteilungsnetze, die aus einer Funktionseinheit aus Lastschaltern einschliesslich Last(trenn)schaltern und strombegrenzenden Sicherungen bestehen und die in der Lage sind, Ströme bis zum Bemessungs-Kurzschlussausschaltstrom beim Bemessungswert des wiederkehrenden Stroms zu unterbrechen, bei der Bemessungsspannung Stromkreise mit dem Bemessungs-Kurzschlussausschaltstrom einzuschalten. Sie gilt nicht für Sicherungs-Leistungsschalter-Kombinationen, Sicherungs-Schütz-Kombinationen und für Kombinationen, die für das Schalten von Motorstromkreisen und von Einzel-Kondensatorbatterien vorgesehen sind.
