Dieser Teil von EN 13523 beschreibt das Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Widerstandsfähigkeit einer organischen Beschichtung auf einem metallischen Substrat gegen das Eindringen eines Ritzstichels. Bei einigen Aluminiumlegierungen und bei dünnem Stahlblech mit einer Dicke unter 0,4 mm kann es dazu kommen, dass der Stichel eher das Substrat verformt als die Beschichtung ritzt. Unter diesen Bedingungen ist dieses Prüfverfahren nicht anwendbar.
