L'obiettivo della Norma è di definire una procedura di prova finalizzata a stabilire prescrizioni uniformi per le propietà geometriche, trasmissive, costruttive, meccaniche, ambientali e climatiche di cavi in fibra ottica nonché, laddove appropriato, anche per le proprietà elettriche.
